A train numbered 57312 is seen pulling two Class 315 units, numbered 315844 and 315854, on a journey from Ilford to Newport. The route passes through Swindon. This video discusses the status of the remaining Class 315 electric multiple units following their withdrawal from the Enfield Town line services from Liverpool Street. The footage, captured in October 2020, shows the units operating on Shenfield and Gidea Park services. As of the time of filming, they were still in service for rush hour trips between Liverpool Street and other locations until June. The Class 315s were constructed between 1980 and 1981, with the first unit scrapped in 2018.
The footage includes classes such as 302, 305, 307, 309, 310, 312/0, 312/7, 313, 315, and 321, with some 86-class units seen on Norwich services. The 313 is shown on a Watford to Liverpool Street service, which had been diverted following the closure of Broad Street in 1986. Several 315 units are also featured, though they were nearing the end of their operational life at the time.
