Class 720
Videos featuring 720563
A Class 37 locomotive, numbered 37601, was deployed to assist a stranded formation of Class 720 electric multiple units near Colchester. The units, operating under headcode 1Y10, became stuck after a tree fell against the overhead power line, causing a disruption. The rescue operation involved moving the affected units back to Colchester Yard at a slow speed of 5 mph. The incident occurred during storm Franklin, which likely contributed to the power issues.
