GBRf 69009 & 69010 enter traffic in undercoat colours! - October 2023

The latest Class 69 rebuilds have now entered traffic - 69009 & 69010 doing so in October 2023. This time though, they were pressed into traffic in their unpainted undercoat livery - one that is usually only seen during moves to the paint shop! The reason is to cover the shortfall of locos during the busy RHTT season. They will be painted once this is over, usually in early December time. I was fortunate to see both & in order we see:

1: 69010 departing York working 0N71 Doncaster Decoy - Tyne Yard
2: 69009 working 4Y19 Mountfield - Southampton Docks passing Frant
3: 69009 on the same working the next day at Grove Junction near Tunbridge Wells.
