Due to late deliveries of Class 710s, and some of the 172s having to go off lease London Overground had no choice but to remove 1 coach from a few 378s so they could fit at stations on the line, therefore for a few months in early 2019, the unique sight of 4 car 378s working alongside 2 car diesel Class 172s on the Gospel Oak - Barking line. A few shots of these trains were taken at Gospel Oak and Upper Holloway.
