INSANE MAINLINE CONVOY + West Somerset Railway SPRING DIESEL FESTIVAL
Thursday 6th June was spent at the event, with shots from Bishops Lydeard, Crowcombe Heathfield Williton, Blue Anchor, Washford and Minehead of gala guests which had arrived in convoy + Class 24 No. D5054 ‘Phil Southern’ from the East Lancashire Railway, all in action alongside the WSR home fleet Class 14 Teddy Bear D9526.

A heritage diesel convoy, including Class 20 locomotives 20189 and 20142, Class 50 50033, and Class 46 46045, was seen on the mainline near Bridgwater in preparation for events at the West Somerset Railway’s Spring Diesel Festival. The convoy included a train with headcode 0Z20 heading from Kidderminster to Bishops Lydeard. Additional footage captured locomotives and events at locations including Bishops Lydeard, Crowcombe Heathfield, Blue Anchor, Washford, Minehead, and Williton, featuring guest locomotives such as Class 24 D5054 from the East Lancashire Railway alongside the West Somerset Railway’s own fleet.
