Severn Valley Railway | 20’s off on a jolly, Flags replace signal & D1015 appears in NEW PAINT!

Description
Another Saturday on the Severn Valley Railway which had very much a Gala feel to it.

First we see classmates 20205 & 20007 waiting for the road to work 0Z20 1309 Kidderminster S.V.R. to Kings Norton Signal Sy522. The 20’s would then join a railtour and head to Stratford (London). Behind the 20’s 33108 waits its next move. It was transferred from Highley to Kidderminster during the Spring Steam Gala for an exam, I’m not sure whether it has had its exam or is still waiting. If anybody knows the answer, please let us know.

6880 is then seen arriving tender first after being watered and stocked with coal, 6880 would then work the 13.05 service to Hampton Loade on timetable 1.

As you may notice 6880 isn’t fully set back behind the signal so a yellow flag is used to give permission for the train to move forwards from Kidderminster.

A couple of minutes after 6880 departs, 20205 & 20007 depart with 0Z20.

After a visit in Kidderminster Museum I made my way back to the station. A nice surprise was rolling into the platform, D1015 ‘Western Champion’ in a new coat of paint. D1015 then departs light engine as 50035 arrives from Hampton Loade with the 13.25 arrival.
