Greatest Gathering Sunday FINALE! + a ride on the BLS Shuttle, 5043 + 37240, first departures & MORE

The final day of the Greatest Gathering at Alstom Works, bringing together the largest temporary assembly of rolling stock and railway-related exhibits from across the history of the modern railway, to star at the unique event at Derby Litchurch Lane, marking the 200th anniversary of the world's first passenger train service, and again bumper crowds were in attendance.

We soak up the final few hours in the works during the morning, before heading to Derby station for a ride on the Branch Line Society shuttle 6, with Freightliner 66622 + 66602 top and tailing with 57303 taking us to Barrow Hill, where EPR 37407, looking magnificent in BR Large logo, powers us back to Derby, and we see the first departures from the event as well at 5043 'Earl of Mount Edgcumbe' + 37240 on the Shakespeare Express, as the evening setsin and the sun sets on what has been one unforgettable weekend!
