Description
Following this mornings visit to the Foxfield Railway https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N4ET0TlmmPM it was back on the road down to todays second heritage railway of day, the Chasewater Railway, who were holding their Rails & Ales Weekend!

The Chasewater Railway is a former colliery railway running round the shores of Chasewater in Staffordshire, England. It is now operated as a heritage railway. The diesel shunter 313394 was doing the honours today taking ale festival goers up and down the mainline between Chasewater Chasetown and Brownhills West, while the Baguley Marston Thompson Evershed LTD shunter was giving short brake van rides around Brownhills West.

Again a really friendly and welcoming line with lots of interesting rolling stock on display, and I must shout out Richard Arnold who took time to show me around behind the scenes at all the interesting locomotive works going on in the various workshops. Like Kerr Stuart 4388 at Foxfield, two locomotives here, Neilson & Co No 2937 and Hunslet Locomotive No. 3783 ‘Hollybank No 3’ are also gearing up to star at the Severn Valley Railway's forthcoming Summer Gala, and were being prepared in the steam sheds for their departure off to Kidderminster soon. Really appreciated the look around the engine shed and I'd thoroughly recommend a visit to this line!
