DIVERTED Freight at Worcestershire Parkway | Colas Rail 70807 & 70808 plus DRS Route learner at WOP
Although this creates a lot of disruption it does give the opportunity to see different workings through Worcester. Today was see 6M50 as 6Z50 (Westbury - Bescot) & 6M40 as 6Z40 (Westbury - Stud Farm.
Both Colas operated moves are seen firstly with 6Z50 hauled by 70807 a seemingly overpowered move.
Secondly 70808 accelerates on through WOP heading North before being held at Stoke Works Junction and again at Bromsgrove for a passing XC Manchester service.
All other freight from Southampton seems to be being diverted via the WCML , with the added pressure on the WCML, rumours are starting that we may see some liners at Worcestershire Parkway in the near future if this disruption continues.
Keep posted for me videos and updates from this disruption.

A railway disruption due to a damaged bridge between Oxford and Didcot Parkway has led to diverted freight services through Worcestershire. Colas Rail locomotives 70807 and 70808 are seen operating freight movements, including 6Z50 and 6Z40, with the latter encountering delays at Stoke Works Junction and Bromsgrove. Other freight from Southampton is being rerouted via the West Coast Main Line, increasing pressure on that route. The situation may lead to additional services at Worcestershire Parkway if the disruption continues.
Fishplate has identified 6 locomotives in this video. We’ve also matched 4 headcodes and 4 operators . Create a free account to see where they appear, unlock timestamps and locations, and view the full breakdown.
