Bradley Manor Returns to Steam at SVR | The Duke Runs Light After Setback!

Description
A day of surprises and returns on the Severn Valley Railway!

I started filming at Kidderminster Town, expecting a fairly standard day – but it quickly turned into something special. The highlight was catching 7802 Bradley Manor back in action, freshly returned to traffic after minor mechanical issues. We later catch up with it again at Bewdley, heading back towards Kidderminster in fine form.

Also making an unexpected appearance was 71000 Duke of Gloucester, arriving light engine from Bewdley for water and coal. The Duke was scheduled for loaded test runs this weekend but was forced to stand down due to brake issues on Saturday. Rescue came in the form of Locomotive Services’ 57003. Interestingly, the Duke has been turned recently – likely using the Kidderminster turntable – and we catch it arriving and departing between timetabled services.

In addition to the steam action, D1062 Western Courier was working the diesel turn and performed flawlessly throughout the day. We see it arriving and departing Bewdley, heading towards Hampton Loade.

This video captures a mix of steam and diesel, scheduled and unscheduled, as the SVR keeps the heritage spirit alive even when plans change.
