Sapthagiri Express is a daily train that runs between Chennai and Tirupati. The train runs up and down twice a day as Sapthagiri Express and Tirupati Express. Hence, it is commonly known as Tirupati Sapthagiri Express.

Sapthagiri Express has a reversal at Renigunta Jn. To save time, the train runs with two locomotives, one at each end of the train.

This video shows the beautiful refurbishment of the 2S and AC CC coaches of Sapthagiri Express. This was originally called the Model Rake and given to Venad Express in Kerala. Later, Venad was given an LHB rake and this rake was sent to Basin Bridge CDO. The coaches have been split between Kovai, Brindavan, Yelagiri, and Sapthagiri Express.

The AC Chair Car is exceedingly beautiful on the interior with extra comfortable seats and large windows.
