Most EMR Intercity services only go as far as Nottingham or Sheffield but two trains in the morning will start in Leeds with two evening trains (this being one of them) terminating in Leeds.
While a limited complimentary offer has been reintroduced in first class, there is still no catering available in standard class (even on weekdays.)
This video captures a journey from London to Leeds aboard an HST (High Speed Train) in first class. The train, identified as stock number 43257, is one of the few remaining slam-door HSTs in service. The route passes through several locations including Cambridge, Nottingham, Leicester, Sheffield, and Chesterfield. The operator information includes British Railways, East Midlands Railway, Eurostar, Intercity, Southeastern, and Thameslink, though no specific operator is confirmed for this journey. The video provides a first-hand perspective of travel on this historic train type.
Fishplate has identified 1 locomotive in this video. We’ve also matched 6 operators . Create a free account to see where they appear, unlock timestamps and locations, and view the full breakdown.
