The Branch Line Society "Type 3 to the Sea" 37706+37518 TnT 37669 10/08/19
First Station I wanted to film was at Nuneaton but there was no trains from Coventry, so I went to Rugby which was a good move as the train went through platform 2.
All was OK at Watford Junction but after that it all went very wrong for me, as I should have changed trains at Haslemere, but the fast one didn't stop at Hilsea so I stopped on my train which turn out a bid mistake,
Then a train hit a tree and smashed the window screen on the opposite line which delayed my train by 24 mins which meant I missed the next shot, but the fast train was only delayed 12 mins so I filmed the 1Z75 to Eastleigh and made my way back to London as I couldn't get to Littlehampton to visit a Spoons pub because of trees across the line.
This video captures a rail journey featuring multiple British Railways and West Coast Railways locomotives, including classes 37 numbered 37518, 37669, and 37706. The footage was filmed across several locations such as Coventry, Rugby, Nuneaton, Haslemere, Hilsea, Eastleigh, and Littlehampton. The journey faced disruptions including a train delay caused by a tree on the line and missed connections, impacting the planned filming locations. Despite these challenges, some segments of the trip were successfully recorded.
Fishplate has identified 3 locomotives in this video. We’ve also matched 3 headcodes and 2 operators . Create a free account to see where they appear, unlock timestamps and locations, and view the full breakdown.
