WELCOME TO 1999
Norton Bridge Station (Staffs) on 12th March 1999
Upon heading North once again, this time for the S & C we popped into this rather little used station just North of Stafford. A rather miserable weather fell upon us with mist and cold. Still captured on tape was a good variety of traffic. Class 37s on the Birmingham International - North Wales and v.v. Many cross country services in the hands of class 86's or class 47's and one or two HST's. The station was served by a 4 car class 323. Here I also captured on film my very first class 66, which were introduced only a year earlier by EWS. Despite the gloomy weather the call was worth it.
