End of the Year Review 1999
PART 2 of 3
Another Project courtesy of the Master himself Mr Nick Winfield
In my collection of Mr Nick Winfield is this series of "End of the Year reviews" which Nick puts together at the end of each year starting with 1995. This feature split into three parts and covers in this part 2, the Marston Vale Line, the WCML south and an extensive look at the Southern region also looking at crossing Lomdon via the North London Lines and the West London Routes. Nick has now introduced the use of some background music, which due to copyright issues when remastering had to be dubbed or pieced over. I hope this video is received with appreciation of just how talented Nick was in his video creating skill. It is so sad that he never got to do so much more.
This video provides a historical overview of British Railways in the 1990s, focusing on specific railway lines and regions. It covers the Marston Vale Line, the West Coast Main Line south of London, and the Southern region, including routes through London via the North London and West London lines. The content includes footage of various locomotives and rail operations, with some background music added due to copyright considerations. Operators mentioned include British Railways, EWS, Intercity, South Western Railway, and Southern. Locations featured span several stations across England, including Canterbury East, Dalston Kingsland, Fenny Stratford, Gatwick Airport, Hackney Central, Harringay Green Lanes, Hope, South Tottenham, and Wandsworth Common. Headcodes identified in the video include 1Z82 and 4D91.
Fishplate has identified 4 locomotives in this video. We’ve also matched 2 headcodes and 5 operators . Create a free account to see where they appear, unlock timestamps and locations, and view the full breakdown.
