Upon a visit to West and South London, I called in at yet another favourite of mine, Wandsworth Road and Factory Junction. With the iconic Battersea Power Station in the distance and the scrap metal yards, this is always an instantly recognisable backdrop. On this occasion amongst the EMU Classes 455 and 456 on the stopping services from and to Victoria and London Bridge, and the 465 EMU Class units on the Kent routes, were "Capital Connect" EMU 319 Class EMU's and the Class 375s. A "Stoneblower" machine is seen twice passing through the station and several EWS Class 66 Locomotives on freight passing over the junction. EWS 92001 passes on a freight with a long rake of LWR Flats and best of all, coming off Stewarts Lane depot were a triple delight of GBRf liveried ED Class 73s. 73213,73206 "Lisa" and 73141 "Charlotte". The mainstay of EMU Kent trains were South Eastern livery. I hope the video takes you back to this period with fond memories.
