In this video I head to some lineside locations to document the running of the Colne Valley Railway's Railway 200 Diesel Gala. It was an action packed Diesel Gala with penty of visitors to the railway. Overall a great day to celebrate 200 years of Railways here in the UK! I even managed to get my drone in the air for a few shots. Towards the end of the day D2184 & 08706 were coupled together to form a "Double Header" for a final hurrah.

The Colne Valley Railway is a heritage steam & diesel railway in Essex near Sible Hedingham, Castle Hedingham & Halstead. As well as train rides on the full size railway, we also have a 7¼ gauge miniature railway and a large model railway. Additionally, we host one of the few publicly accessible signal boxes across the country.

We had a great variation of traction for the gala in the form of:
Class 08 Shunter : 08706
Class 121 & Class 117 working in Multiple : W55033, W51339 & W51382
Class 03 Shunter : D2184
