Steam in Action: 60163 Tornado Southbound for Weekend Railtour!
Join us at Cheltenham Spa as iconic A1 Pacific 60163 Tornado makes a southbound positioning move to Bristol St Philips Marsh Depot, ahead of working The Royal Duchy railtour for the Railway Touring Company on Sunday 25th May.
Situated on the busy Birmingham New Street – Bristol Temple Meads mainline, Cheltenham Spa offers a fantastic vantage point for a variety of rail traffic. This key station also sees regular services to London Paddington, Worcester Foregate Street, and Cardiff, operated by both CrossCountry and Transport for Wales.
In addition to the star steam appearance, this video also features a selection of freight action, including:
• 6V05 Round Oak – Margam steel working
• 4V44 Daventry – Wentloog Tesco Express (a.k.a. the “Every Little Helps” freight)
