Continuing the Southern theme of uploads, a look back to the Spring Steam Gala this year at the Watercress Line. A great selection of locos starred back in April, with SR Bulleid 34070 ‘Manston’ from thr Swanage Railway, WCRC’s/ Chris Beet’s LMS Jubilee 45690 ‘Leander’ and Lambton Colliery Railway No 29 from the North Yorkshire Moors Railway though sadly this had boiler issues over the gala and was declared failed by the weekend.

These were backed up by the home fleet resident engines 506, Ivatt ‘Mickey Mouse’ tank 41312 and ‘Kilmersdon’ which made for a great gala with lots going on and after a morning of light rain, even the sun came out for the afternoon! | 28.04.2024
