Sutton Park (Sutton Coldfield) (Disused) on 15th April 1994
Continuing with my archive of video recording between the years of 1986 to 2001 this clip is of the derelict site of Sutton Park on the Washwood Heath (Water Orton) to Walsall freight only line. This rather peaceful location was quite busy in the early 1990s with several types of freight. A lot of class 47 action , plus 31s, 56s (a beautiful 56004 is seen in it's fabulous Blue all over livery), 58 and 60 class as well. Listening to the twittering of the birds between trains was a sheer delight. I hope the video takes you back to this period with fond memories. Feel free to comment, good or bad, all comments are read and greatly appreciated, but it is not always possible to answer each individually. Sit back and enjoy this latest production remembering all those now long gone Locomotive classes and other types of traction. Many thanks for all subscriptions and all of those viewers who have kindly shown an interest in my material.
It features various locomotive classes including Class 47, 31, 56 (with 56004 in its Blue livery), 58, and 60. The footage provides a nostalgic look at railway activity from that era, highlighting the peaceful yet industrious atmosphere of the location.
