Colas 37607 & 37116 Thrash 1Q48 PLPR 6/8/24

37254 - almost certainly setting off soon as the sound of those Colas horns come ringing into the station - wrong - after an hour after its due departure - there are no more tones - the sound is gone and all you can hear is a 170 - where has Cardiff Canton gone? Well, over four hours past its departure time - we hear another honk, this time cuertesy of 37607 and 37116 - before they roar around the corner and plonk themselves into Derby - when they leave, there comes an almost unheard, final honk from 37254 - a honk of approval as to say - "I was here all along!" - I get excited upon hearing this and check RailCam - Service cancelled due to "A problem with the train" . That final honk must have been a honk of goodbye - or until next time - a honk of guilt, or failure.

Here we have Colas 37116 and Harry Needle hire in 37607 working a Derby circular. It arrived in a bit late due to planning issues but quite a good departure. 607 really saved it at the end with some mega hellfire from the rear. 607 must be one of the best sounding 37s 👌
