Redhill Station (Car Park)
18th May 2012
After visiting Virginia Water Station, a quick drive round the notorious M25 Car Park...sorry Motorway I witnessed the VSOE stock on The Golden Age of Travel (Luncheon Special) from Shalford to London Victoria, with Steam Locomotive 'Clan Line' 35028 from the station car park at Redhill. Earlier in the day I also captured on video Steam Locomotive 70000 'Britannia' rounding the curve from the Guildford (North Downs Route) with a special from London Victoria to Tonbridge and return, on a 7 day extravaganza tour, up to Scotland. Steam Dreams 'The Cathedrals Explorer' and will berth in Durham on this night and will be hauled up the ECML by 60163 'Tornado'. The Brett Marine freight passed through the station slowly with EWS Locomotive 66023 at the head. EMU traffic was rather repetitive with the Class 377 and the Reading to Redhill/Gatwick services were in the hands of the Thames Turbo Class 166. It is not often to see 2 steam trains pass here in one day, so I felt quite lucky to have managed to witness both of them. I hope this video takes you back to the period with fond memories. Feel free to comment, good or bad, all comments are read, and greatly appreciated, but it is not always possible to answer each individually.. Many thanks to all subscribers and for the likes, also to all those viewers whom over the years, have kindly shown an interest and appreciation in my material.
