Wandsworth Road Station (South London)
26th June 2012
I gave yet another visit to this location in a short space of time, to witness Steam Dreams 'Cathedrals Express' this time starting out from the Wiltshire town of Westbury, making her way to Canterbury West in Kent. 'Tornado' Steam Locomotive 60163 hauled the train throughout and looked splendid as she emerged from Factory Junction. On this occasion amongst the EMU Classes 456 on the stopping services to and from London Victoria and London Bridge, and the 465 EMU Class units on the Kent routes, wearing the "Capital Connect" and South Eastern liveries, also the Class 375s were quite a few Freightliners and Stone trains, one hauled by 'Hanson' Class 59 (59101) 'Village of Whatley', I've not seen a 59 here for quite some time, so it was a breath of fresh air. I hope the video takes you back to this period with fond memories. Feel free to comment, good or bad, all comments are read, and greatly appreciated, but it is not always possible to answer each individually.. Many thanks to all subscribers and for the likes, also to all those viewers whom over the years, have kindly shown an interest and appreciation in my material.
