Paignton & Dartmouth Railway Diesel Gala, 20th June 1993
73101 "The Royal Alex" and 73109 "Battle of Britain" were working as a pair on diesel, while the highlight for linsiders [and lowlight for those on the beach at Goodrington] was D9016 "Gordon Highlander" making a fantastic impersonation of a steam engine. Also seen working were 50002 "Superb" and D7535.
Toward the end of the day 47815 was seen moving from the empty coaching stock yard in to Paignton station then departing with a set of Inter City "Raspberry Ripple" Mk.1s. Just after that 37673 & 37674 are seen leaving Paignton light engine, followed, finally, by an anonymous class 150 Sprinter arriving.
