České Dráhy "Goggle" to Český Krumlov - 9th May 2022

Some video of a day trip from Praha to Český Krumlov and back on 9th May 2022. The trains used were IC533, 08:49 from Praha hl.n. to Český Krumlov and EC334, 15:54 Linz Hbf [Austria] to Praha hl.n. from České Budějovice to Praha hl.n. In both directions there was a bus replacement between Olbramovice and Chotoviny, which worked very well with all heavy luggage and bicycles transferred between the trains by a separate road van. An excellent display of customer service when compared with the "not our problem" attitude of UK Rail bus replacement excercises.

By quirk of fate the loco back to Praha hl.n. with that section of EC334 was the same as the one out to Olbramovice in the morning with IC533, 362109. From České Budějovice to Český Krumlov the loco was a diesel, one of the later "Goggle" ["Brejlovec" in Czech] types, 754078. I don't blame you for thinking it is an electric loco based on the almost complete lack of volume from these locos while working.

The train on the Praha - Olbramovice shuttle section also included an older coach at the tail of the set with compartments and real windows which were used to get some out the window shots. At Olbramovice several 362s are seen being used for the sections of IC trains between there and Praha.
