NSE Class 50s Service Farewell on 24th May 1992
Continuing with my archive of video recording between the years of 1986 to 2001 this clip is of the special event organised by Network Southeast on the West of England line between Waterloo and Exeter. With the demise of loco hauled passenger trains a farewell special day with classic haulage including locomotives 33002+33102, 50007+50050 (D400), 47526+47551, 47701, 60033. Filmed at several locations along the route with my good well informed mate Nick we started at Tisbury then Gillingham in Dorset followed by Andover then Basingstoke. I hope the video takes you back to this period with fond memories.
