Peak Forest Sidings (Buxton) & Dove Holes Quarry on 6th September 1993
Continuing with my archive of video recording between the years of 1986 to 2001 this clip is of Peak Forest Sidings taken on my next journey up to Scotland on 06/09/1993. A rather slow start to the day's activity at Peak Forest but still interesting to see and worth popping into now and again. Class 37s still pretty abundant so I hope the video takes you back to this period with fond memories. Feel free to comment, good or bad, all comments are read and greatly appreciated, but it is not always possible to answer each individually. Sit back and enjoy this latest production remembering all those now long gone Locomotive classes and other types of traction. Many thanks for all subscriptions and all of those viewers who have kindly shown an interest in my material.
This video captures scenes from Peak Forest Sidings near Buxton and Dove Holes in the early 1990s. It features British Railways locomotives, including several Class 37 diesel electric units, at a time when these machines were still commonly in service. The footage provides a nostalgic look at railway operations during that era, highlighting the presence of older rolling stock and the atmosphere of sidings and quarries in the region.
Fishplate has identified 3 locomotives in this video. We’ve also matched 2 operators . Create a free account to see where they appear, unlock timestamps and locations, and view the full breakdown.
