Trains at Southampton Central, SWML WCL - 15th January 2025
On Wednesday 15th January, I went to Southampton Central Station, which is situated on South Western Mainline & West Coastway Line.
Had a great time here, spent nearly a whole day there.
Loads of different tractions, and it certainly kept me busy.
It has lot of good vantage points, with great views. My only niggle is the brambles at the end of Platform 2 that do need to cut and they tend to get in the way of my shot.
Trains you see in this video, and I have been so lucky to have been out at the right time. SWR Desiros 444, Electrostar 387s Gatwick Express & Ex Great Northern Units. Cross Country Voyagers 220 & 221 including Ex Avanti. And lots of 158s, and no Turbos which I’m pleased about as I have to be honest not rather keen on them.
This will be my last video of SWML until the foreseeable.
And I’ll be back with new stations, new adventures, new trains.
