During the May Bank Holiday engineering works, many GWR services were altered as a blockade took place between Maidenhead and Hayes & Harlington, resulting in HST's terminating at Reading, diverting to London Marylebone or services starting at Maidenhead. This was one of those, and luckily it was a GWR Class 800, on one of the first times the train has served Maidenhead thus far. Most of the Cotswold trains were operated by Class 165 Turbo's that day, but this service is seen arriving from Stoke Gifford IET Depot empty stock as 5W15, then I jump onboard and depart (heading to Oxford) as 1W15 1109 Maidenhead to Hereford. It could also be one of the first ever time that a GWR Class 800 has gone all the way to Hereford, as most services are still operated by the HST's, with the Worcester Foregate Street and Great Malvern services replaced by the Class 800's.
