34046 “Braunton” & D400 “Fearless” DOUBLEHEADER at Hellifield - The Chairman’s Train - 10/7/26
Originally (according to RailAdvent…) Castle Class 5049 “Nunney Castle” was supposed to be on the train but alas Braunton was a lovely replacement.
After them we have an oddball out on the mainline with a Pacer (142003) originally supposed to be (according to RailAdvent) Class 121 “Flora”, I personally didn’t mind the change as this is the first time in a number of years seeing a Pacer out on the mainline again.
This video is a bit out of order since the 68s and the HST *was* filmed first but figured the railtour first worked better so alongside the railtour you can see an engineering train being hauled by Class 68s 68003 “Astute” and 68009 “Pride Of The North”.
Then 43272 and 43251 on the measurement train, was quite a packed day so I hope you enjoyed the variety!
