BR in the 1990s Acton Wells Junction West London on 22nd July 1994
Acton Wells Junction (West London) on 22nd July 1994
Continuing with my archive of video recording between the years of 1986 to 2001 this clip is of Acton Wells Junction just East of Acton Mainline Station and the yard at Acton in West London. From the footbridge that crosses the North London Line from Richmond to Willesden the location offers a good view of the line into Acton Yard and the Richmond line, also a view of Old Oak Common and the new Eurostar servicing depot. On this visit I witnessed several stone trains with class 59s, 37s, 60s and other services such as Civil Engineers trains and China Clay workings. A few rarities were also seen such as the yellow 47 coming off OOC and the Green 37 and Green 47. An HST was seen coming off the NLL and heading onto the GWML. I hope the video takes you back to this period with fond memories. Feel free to comment, good or bad, all comments are read and greatly appreciated, but it is not always possible to answer each individually. Sit back and enjoy this latest production remembering all those now long gone Locomotive classes and other types of traction. Many thanks for all subscriptions and all of those viewers who have kindly shown an interest in my material.
