Micheldever (Hampshire) (Popham No 2 Tunnel)

After a morning spent filming at Woking I headed down the line towards Southampton and set my camera up above the Popham No 2 Tunnel, overlooking the Station at Micheldever. (Looking South). I captured on film the return working of Steam Dreams' 'The cathedrals Express' from Eastleigh, heading back for Northampton, with 'Tornado' 60163 in charge. Among the usual service trains of EMU Classes 444 and 450s there were also the 'Voyagers' making their way to and from Bournemouth/Midlands and a SWT Liveried DMU Class 158 is spotted on a North Bound service. Unfortunately the other Steam Special had been cancelled due to 'Bittern' Biting the dust at Dorchester, but I was not aware of this until much later, which gave me a generous supply of Freight workings with Class 66 Locomotives in both Freightliner and EWS Liveries to capture on video. So not all was lost....PS My camera was well anchored to the forest floor such was I, although there is a public footpath which goes over the tunnel, but is fast becoming too overgrown to navigate.
