Black 5 44871 Works 'The Cumbrian Mountain Express' 13/7/24
Usually when I visit Penrith North Lakes, it falls on a weekend when the Cumbrian Mountain Express is running. Last year I saw it here in the hands of 45699 'Galetta'. This year was different. Until the Black 5 turned the corner, the service was due to be hauled by 34067 'Tangmere'. Unfortunately I found out Tangmere had failed its FTR test and a short term sub had to be made! Anyways, enjoy watching 44871 make an impressive pass at Penrith and then moving around Carlisle before departing with the return!
