Old Oak Common Open Day, 19th March 1994

Channel: Stoat13

Description
Old Oak Common Open Day, 1994. A wide variety of motive power was on display, including preserved and withdrawn locomotives. This was the last open day to take place at Old Oak Common before the privatisation of British Rail and it is worth mentioning that common sense seems to have been the best health and safety policy in these innocent times before ambulance chasing blame culture reared its ugly head. The diesel depot and turntables have now been demolished to make way for Crossrail. All we have are pictures and memories of this once important and busy depot.
