Description
A bit of coverage from the July visit by the Network Rail Plain Line Pattern Recognition test train.

Locos used were:

37425 - carrying a heritage "Regional Railways" livery, 'Sir William McAlpine'/'Concrete Bob'
37422 - carrying the current "HNRC-Swietelsky" livery with "domino" style headcode box

On Wednesday 16th July the train was 1Q97, 10:50 Ferme Park Reception Sidings to Clacton on Sea, viewed at Wrabness and Mistley.

On Friday night/Saturday morning (18th-19th July) the train was 1Q99 16:40 Cambridge Reception 1&2 to March Down R.S.

The train was running quite late by the time it appeared in the Manningtree area on Friday night, the quick reversal at Colchester almost caught me out at Manningtree station! Around the time it arrived at Mistley on Saturday morning it started to rain, a few flashes of lightning were captured which were far enough away that no thunder could be heard.
