I first headed to Doncaster to see the charter pass on the fast line, and it sounded like most of the work was being done by the diesel on the rear, presumably due to the fire risk. It was still great to see the steam out in these high temperatures.
After Doncaster I headed back to York to see the charter again, where the steam was taken off to be serviced and turned before setting off on its return journey back to London later in the afternoon.
