Bristol Temple Meads plus Dundas Aqueduct + Upton Scudamore
A day of many Special Trains and Surprises !
OK the brollies may have been needed on this day for the glorious summer sunshine. This day was a day of several rail tours, which I captured firstly at Bristol Temple Meads Station, amongst the usual First Great Western services operated by DMU Classes 158, 150 and HST's. Some freight services drifted through the iconic station hauled by Class 66 Locomotives. Cross Country services were in the hands of the Class 221 'Voyagers' apart from a nice surprise in the evening ? Two fabulous rail tours called and passed by my camera on route to the West Country, which I also captured later that evening on their return journeys, again at Bristol Temple Meads. During the middle of the day, I visited Dundas Aqueduct, near Limpley Stoke, where I captured on film yet another special rail tour and yet another surprise heading from Eastleigh at Upton Scudamore, and all this in superb sunny weather. You will have to watch the video to see what these tours and surprise trains were and what Locomotives were on duty.
