Lumo® - Day One - Edinburgh Waverley to Newcastle - Class 803

Channel: Signals & Waypoints

Description
In October 2021, new startup TOC Lumo® launched services from Scotland to London, rivalling the airlines who are offering a much quicker option. Their trains call mainly at Morpeth, Newcastle and Stevenage, and the all new Hitachi Class 803's are a great way to traverse the network for a significantly reduced price (versus LNER). This promotional fare for me cost just over £3 one way from Edinburgh to Newcastle, and is the cheapest fare I have ever paid to get me from one Country to another! If you get a chance, do try them out and see what you think!
