Twenty Five Minutes at Manningtree, 16th April 2021

Twenty five minutes spent at Manningtree during the evening of 16th April 2021, from about 22:40-23:05. The primary reason for visiting the station was to view 3Q66, the Network Rail track recording train, pass.

First to pass are a pair of Greater Anglia 321s, the rear of which is a "Renatus" unit, on an ECS from Ipswich to Ilford Depot.
With the new moon visible in the sky, Freightliner 66513 passes with 4L92, the 12:15 Trafford Park to Felixstowe north container train.
At the opposite end of the station the train from Harwich Town arrives, formed of 321326, followed by 745003 arriving and departing with the 22:00 Norwich to London Liverpool Street.
At 23:00 precisely 321326 departs for Harwich Town and Freightliner 66562 passes with 4M42, the 21:41 Felixstowe North to Trafford Park container train although there are no containers seen.
Finally, the Network Rail track recording train, 3Q66, 22:50 Colchester to Derby RTC, is seen passing, lead by Mk.2 DVT 9702 and propelled by 37610 which is painted in a variation of the 1980s BR Blue with large yellow ends livery.
