A bit of a double bubble today with a visit to the Great Central Railway with @southwalestrainspotting5090 for their Winter Steam Gala, and a chance to nip to the mainline station at Leicester during the day to catch Locomotive Services Peak 45118 ‘The Royal Artilleryman’ + 47593 ‘Galloway Princess’ on UK Railtours ‘The Peak Blinder’ charter with the Intercity stock passing through on the Midland Mainline.

BR 9F No. 92134 renumbered 92043 headlined the GCR Steam Gala event alongside 34072 ‘257 Squadron’, and 3809/18 Hunslet ‘Austerity’, with the lines own BR Standard 2s 78018 and 78019, Saddle Tank 68067, BR Standard 5MT 73156, GWR Modified Hall 6990 'Witherslack Hall' and Derby Lightweight diesel railcar ‘Iris’ completing the line up. A great and comprehensive gala, with intensive running, freight and passenger trains and lots to see along the line throughout the day along the UK’s only double-track, main line heritage railway.

We also see a look at the locos on depot at UKRL Leicester L.I.P with a mix of different loco classes on shed including (coincidently) Class 92 92043.
