THE CHOPPER QUARTET 20048, 20142, 20007 + 20205 & Rail Adventure 43480 + 43468 at the SEVERN VALLEY!
Todays charter originated at Preston, after a late ECS move from Carnforth, headed by Rail Adventure HST Power Cars 43468 + 43480, arriving at Kidderminster just after midday.
We catch up with the tour at a rain soaked Bewdley, where 20142 'Sir John Betjeman' and 20048 had attached for the returning Bewdley - Kidderminster leg, with the RA Power Cars remaining on the rear.
At Kidderminster we see 20048 run off, to return to the diesel depot as this locomotive is not mainline certificated, giving way to 20007 and 20205, for a rare trippled headed departure onto the mainline forming the 1Z57 Kidderminster - Watford Junction, with the Ra Power Cars remaining on the rear!
