50007+50049. Mega Struggle & Thrash up Lickey Incline. The Christmas White Rose Express.
The problems seam to have started with a late departure from Gloucester, one guy told us when we was waiting for the railtour that 50049 was not in the best of heath, so that could of been the reason why they struggled up the incline as I think 50007 was doing most of the work.
I only had seconds getting the shot at Water Orton, and I didn't think I would get there in time.
This video captures a passenger train struggling to ascend the Lickey Incline, likely due to mechanical issues with one of the locomotives. The footage was taken at Water Orton and shows the effort required to navigate the steep gradient. Multiple locomotive numbers are identified, including 50007 and 50049, with references to Gloucester and other locations. Operators Colas and GBRF are associated with the record, along with headcode 1Z49. The video provides a glimpse into the challenges faced by rail services on this section of track.
Fishplate has identified 6 locomotives in this video. We’ve also matched 1 headcode and 2 operators . Create a free account to see where they appear, unlock timestamps and locations, and view the full breakdown.
