Class 99s on the Portbury Branch Line! 47749 leads brand new 99003 99004. 30/11/25
The brand new Stadler 99s arrived at Royal Portbury Docks last week and were unloaded to be picked up by 47749 as they start a new lease of life with GBRf. They were moved by rail today as 0Q80 Portbury Auto Terminal GBRf to Leicester L.I.P. These locomotives are the second pair to have arrived from Valencia after being tested in Europe.
We see the consist traversing along the Portbury Branch Line at Ashley Gate with a view of the Clifton Suspension Bridge in the background prior to stopping at the signal to proceed onto double track and surrending the token.
