Wokingham Junction (Wokingham)
13th June 2012
Arriving at Wokingham and the footbridge that crosses the junction just to the south of the Station, I witnessed the VSOE stock on The British Pullman's The 'Bristol & Brunel's S.S. Great Britain' Rail Tour returning from Bristol Temple Meads to London Victoria (Via Newbury), with Steam Locomotive 'Clan Line' 35028 and trailing Locomotive 67005 'Queen's Messenger'. As this was the tail end of the rush hour, the London Waterloo to Reading route was very busy with the 'Juniper' class 444 EMU's bringing the daily travellers back home. On the 'North Downs' Route the Class 166 and 165 'Turbo's were doing the same between Reading and Guildford/Redhill and Gatwick Airport. I hope this video takes you back to the period with fond memories.
