Fantastic Fifty and 37: Classic Trains at Crewe: Classes 37, 47, 50! 18 February 2026

Wednesday 18th February I'd planned to spend some time at Crewe watching passing trains. We proved to have a fantastic hour there. We knew Teesside Steelmaster would be passing but there was a working from LSL at Crewe to Carnforth and back which intrigued us. On seeing this train a change of plan was made as we could get north to see the LSL empty stock train heading south at speed.

We still saw other loco hauled trains as well as Pendolinos, 805s, 807s and a Lumo 222 en route to Stafford for a route learing run to Euston,
