Worting Junction (Basingstoke)
21st May 2010
Really yet another sound test/experiment to try to improve on sound quality in the field, yet post production improves on the original audio track. This time I made a visit to one of my popular locations to the West of Basingstoke, Worting Junction, where the line separates/joins to and from Southampton, Bournemouth and Weymouth with the Salisbury, Yeovil and Exeter route on the Southern Region.
As this was filmed during the afternoon peak hours, the main course of traction are EMU's of class 444, 450 and DMU classes 159 and "Voyagers" class 220. A sole Freightliner passes by from Southampton with a "Freightliner" liveried class 66 providing the power. Later that evening I continued onto Newbury station, for some Western HST's and what else happened to appear. I hope the video takes you back to this period with fond memories. Feel free to comment, good or bad, all comments are read, and greatly appreciated, but it is not always possible to answer each individually.. Many thanks to all subscribers and for the likes, also to all those viewers whom over the years, have kindly shown an interest and appreciation in my material.
