Saturday the 20th of July saw yet another 'English Riviera Express' tour to Kingswear. Hosted by Saphos Trains, the tour would originate from Bedford hauled by an LSL 47/57 until Taunton. The 47 would disembark the train at Taunton, whilst 60007 joined the train throughout to Kingswear. The A4 is seen starting off from Dawlish Warren after being looped for a service train. After a bit of slippage, the loco would get underway, captured at Langstone Rock in heavy rain. In the second shot, the weather took a more positive side with 7827 'Lydham Manor' beginning the ascend of the summit up to Churston. Now, on the return leg, 60007 is seen heading down the bank towards Paignton. Captured running over the beach huts at Goodrington. I then dashed to Paignton station to record the loco crossing the points and entering the mainline. The A4 would then take a brief pause before tackling the steep grade up to Torquay. All in all, it was a great day capturing the loco in Damp Devon. Despite getting soaked on various occasions. Thanks for watching.
