In my collection of Mr Nick Winfield is this series of "End of the Year reviews" which Nick put together at the end of each year starting with 1995. Here we have the 1998 edition. This feature has been split into 3 parts and covers most of the Southern Counties to the Midlands and Eastern parts of the UK and in this addition Nick visits Scotland and South Wales including a fascinating feature on The Glasgow Suburban and the Scottish units in the area. A quick visit to Edinburgh Waverley and the Forth Rail Bridge also accompanies this feature. Of course a special tribute to the last days of the "Cromptons" or class 33's is a section in this part that should appeal to followers of this, almost 40 year old veteran. This video is accompanied with quality and clear narration throughout. The introduction of new liveries is part of the feature too, So without further ado let us get on with 1998 captured from the start to the end. I hope this video is received with appreciation of just how talented Nick was in his video creating skill. It is so sad that he never got to do so much more.
