Matts Trains at Doncaster and Mexborough featuring LNER Class 91s
For the first time I decided to break up the afternoon with a little trip to Mexborough. Only 10 minutes up the line between Doncaster and Sheffield and my first experience on a class 150 and a Northern service which even had USBs ! I chose Mexborough because you go past Doncaster Roberts Road and once there you get to see some more freight that doesn't go through Doncaster and was an enjoyable 1h30 would have been shorter but the train was cancelled. Next time I'll visit another station just outside Doncaster for further variety.
