The train was part of a private charter originally planned as "The Cromer Crompton" but cancelled due to low bookings. Behind D6515 were the London Transport 4-TC set and locomotive 50008. The scene nearly involved another train, 755 401, which was running late with service 2S58 from Norwich to Sheringham.
